Bikes and People, Side by Side
Riverlalpha is a family-run bike shop in central Florianópolis. We inspect, adjust and repair conventional bicycles and help customers choose compatible basic accessories. We serve people who rely on their bikes for regular travel and those who ride occasionally and want to check their bike before getting back on the road. You do not need to know the names of the parts to contact us. Tell us what has changed on your rides, bring in your bike and allow time to talk about how you use it.
A Conversation at the Workbench
The shop opened in 2021 with a simple idea: talk with customers beside their bikes while assessing a problem. Before suggesting a replacement, we examine the part, show you any visible wear and explain the adjustment or repair options. At pickup, we explain what we did and what signs to watch for on future rides. The space, with a contemporary deep teal finish, is organized to assess one bike at a time and leave room for an explanation.
What the Shop Can Handle
An initial conversation does not replace an in-person inspection. The timeframe also depends on the problem found and the parts available. That is why we confirm the work, cost and estimated pickup time after examining the bike. Our focus is maintaining conventional bicycles: we do not repair motorcycles or work on the electrical systems of motorized bicycles. If a request is outside that scope, we will tell you before accepting the job. You can then decide how to proceed, even if the solution is not at our workbench.
